GAM Weather Consulting is registered to do business in the State of Oregon, offering specialized and tailored meteorological support to customers.  Its owner, Gordon McCraw helps his customers along the Oregon Coast and Coast Range to stay prepared for all types of weather events such as: Winter Storms, Flooding, Severe Wind Storms, Snow Storms, Ice Storms, and many other significant weather events.

Gordon McCraw became a forecaster in 1987 during his career in the US Navy, working as an aviation and marine forecaster in various parts of the U.S. including, Illinois, California, and Louisiana. He retired as the Chief in Charge of the Weather Office at NAS New Orleans where he recieved awards for his specialized support to various agencies in and around New Orleans.  He served on the Southeast Louisiana Hurricane Task Force and was a guest speaker at the National Hurricane Conference when it was held in New Orleans.  He served as the Chief Meteorologist at the Cool 95 Radio Station in New Orleans and was employed by a private contractor providing weather support to New Orleans International Airport and a second contractor serving Lakefront Airport in the New Orleans area.

The year after Hurricane Katrina (2006) Gordon and his family moved to Tillamook Oregon where he was Chief Meteorologist for Tillamook's KTIL and Coast 105 FM Radio Stations as well as their AM Station and then the local Internet Radio Station, Tillamook Cow.  He can currently be heard on the Coast Community Radio Stations, KMUN-Astoria (91.9FM), KCPB-Warrenton (90.9), and KTCB-Tillamook (89.5).  He is also the meteorologist for the online newspaper, the Tillamook County Pioneer.  He is considered by many as the Northwest Oregon Coastal Weather Authority and is currently a member of the Oregon Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.  


(Gordon recently retired from his primary job as the Tillamook County Director of Emergency Manager, and as a Lieutenant of the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, and settled to Lebanon Oregon with his family)
